Reality Versus Beliefs About Reality          ...

Creator/God is the ultimate mystery of life.   Anything anybody tells you about what God is or how He/She/It functions  is ONLY their belief.   Regardless of what authority then claim as their source of knowledge, whatever they tell you is still  ONLY their belief.  

People base their day-to-day activities upon what they believe about reality.    For most people, their beliefs are vastly different from what the evidence tells us is most likely the truth about who and what we are, about where we came from, about why we are here on Earth, about what happens to "us" when the physical body dies,  about the way the universe actually functions, and about the nature of Creator/God.   

The best that humans can do is examine the products of Creator/God and offers some likely probabilities.   Please remember, everything anybody says about Creator/source (this document included)  is theory, not fact.   After years of study in the field of self-awareness,  here's this author's best guess as to how The Universe  functions.

The Fundamental Principles 
Upon which All of Life Appears to Be Based:

Everything is Energy and Consciousness:   The underlying, fundamental building blocks of what we call reality, or  the Universe, or the Source, or Life, or God, or Me, or Creator:   1)  Is Consciousness, and 2)  Is Energy.    Both the ancient mystical and spiritual teachings and the present-day scientific evidence tell us that everything we think of as physical is not physical at all.   It's Energy.   

For each of us, life is commonly thought of as "me" reaching out and experience the one and only, objective, relatively static, three-dimensional  universe.   This in an incredibly believable illusion.   Life in not physical.   Life is Energy and Consciousness.   If you ask: "What is Energy?   and  "What is Consciousness?"  the most common answer is they are the ultimate mysteries of life.   They are what "Creator/God" is.   They are what "Creator/God" is made of.   They are what "Everything" is.   They are what "Everything" is made of.   

The Fundamental Context of Life:  Energy and Consciousness together appear to be the fundamental context of all Creation.   It appears that Energy and Consciousness  together are the  Context that contains everything. ***   It appears that consciousness is the controller of Energy -- that Consciousness directs Energy into patterns.    The evidence indicates that there are specific, exacting, immutable rules about how to use Consciousness to control Energy.   It appears that our job (or our game) is to master these rules while living in a physical body on planet Earth.   

One could easily conclude that we are each an individuated pieces of physical matter.   It's quite the opposite.  Everything physical is made of Consciousness and Energy.

We Play the Game of Life on Automatic Pilot.   The evidence also indicates that we are already in the game, that we are already playing, and that until we wake up, we play the game on automatic pilot -- by accident, by default, by chance and happenstance.   The evidence also indicated that our job/game here on Earth  is to take over the controls and intentionally move our machine (our bodies) toward pleasure and away from pain.    We are given a physical context (planet Earth),   a body within which to experience Earth, and an exacting set of rules about how to create our experiences.   

The Next Big Mystery Is What Am I?   Again, we can only offer best guesses.   Here's some notes from the universal spiritual perspective on life. '  Please don't believe this and don't disbelieve it either.   Simply  consider it as a possibility.

Physical matter is only a very small part of reality.    Humans are eternal, non-physical, divine beings who always were and always will be.   Each and every human is an eternal being temporarily inhabiting a physical body.    While living in physical bodies, humans are intimately connected Creator/God.    Humans are also intimately connected to nature (to their Earthly environment)  and to each other. 

Everything is one.   Everything is a part of and intimately related to everything else.    Everything is energy.   There was no beginning.   There will be no end.   Time is an illusion.   Eternity is now.   

God is consciousness -- a consciousness so vast and so complex that it transcends human knowledge and human understanding.   Humans are also consciousness.   God consciousness and human consciousness are intimately inter-related.  Humans are part of and co-creators with the timeless, eternal God.   Within the context of life on Earth, we are the creators of our personal experiences."

We appear to be "Joy-seeking" machines.    We are programmed to move toward pleasure and away from pain.   We move toward what feels good -- toward "more" or "I'll have that again, please."   One could say that according to our energetic and conscious make up, the purpose of life is to create that which makes us feels good  -- to create what feel like "do that gain" or "I'll have more of that."   

Sharing, Cooperation, Compassion:     It also appears the our job is to set up our lives so that we continue to experience joy in an ongoing sustainable modality.   It also appears that by far the best, easiest, and most efficient way to do this is by helping each other do likewise.  The New Corporate World Foundation's  Win-Win Business Structure  is designed to create a series of contexts in which mutual support is one of the main rules.

Who Comes First?

Life Is an Inside Job:   Every change, every transformation, every action in your entire existence has started and will continue to start within you.   You must fill your own cup before you have the capacity to assist anyone else.   You can't get poor enough to make anyone else wealthy.   You can't get sick enough to make anyone else healthy.   You can't get dumb enough to make anyone else smart.     You can't get numb enough to make anyone else wakeup.   

Who Comes First?   In order to be successful at any aspect of your life, you must take care of yourself first.   You must be first in your world.   That's just the nature of reality.   That's the law.   That's how this law of the universe works.  You can deny it.    You can fight it.    You can ignore it.   But you can't change it.   

You've Got is Bass Ackwards:  You're probably heard the saying that putting yourself first is not only greedy and selfish, it's completely counter to everything you've been taught for your entire life.   You are absolutely right that it is indeed what you've been taught.   BUT. . .    Is it the truth?   NO!    It is neither greedy nor selfish.   It's common sense.   

When you examine the evidence, you'll find that the  belief, "others must come first," originated in a vastly different time, place and context from where we are today.   The Church leaders  who started this belief were coming from fear and were focused on self-survival in an extremely difficult world.    For people who engaged it arson, murder and torture, a little thing like "lying to the people" was, for them,  simply another tool of self survival.   They saw a way to get others to take care of them.    (But don't believe, this, study the history of the early Christian church leaders.)   And they had no idea of  How the Universe Functions.`   

That's not to make them wrong or bad.   It's simply to point out that many of human beliefs and behaviors have not kept pace with our expanding knowledge of the nature of the universe and how it functions.   

This is just one example among many where we have physical things and/or our beliefs backwards.   If humanity is to survive, we're going to have to take a long, hard look at our present behavior and the underlying beliefs the dictate and control our behavior. 

Why?    Because what we presently believe to be "The Truth"  is mostly false.   Life is not what you've been led to believe it is by those who claim to know.   You, I, and everybody else have  been (and still are) making critical,  irreversible, life-altering  decisions based upon false,  incomplete, and/or intentionally-deceptive information!

Think about the above statement for a moment.   Think about the profound implications of that statement.   How does it make you feel?   

Here's an example of something that is almost certainly true, but is ignored and put down by millions of people who have never examined the evidence on this topic:   "We are eternal spiritual beings having a physical experience."

Reincarnation:  You might also note that all of our experiences are our own creations.  We are not the victims.   Collectively, we are reaping the consequences of our own past lives here on Earth.   You can deny this and you might be right, but that's where the overwhelming, circumstantial  evidence (and much of the physical evidence)  is pointing.   We've lived on Earth before.  We are living here now, and most of us (if we don't destroy the planet) will come back and live here again.   

The Universal Laws:   The laws of the universe also tell us that what we experience in the physical world is a mirror of that which we already are in our internal selves, but that's  another story for another time.'

Back to "Who Comes First?"   Here's love expressed in spiritual language:  "Love Yourself, love Your Neighbor, and love "God" because all three are one and the same thing."  Note that in the order of loving, you come first.   That's because if you do not love yourself, you do not know what love is.   You don't know what love feel like.   You may have some thought and beliefs about love, but until you experience loving yourself, you have an incomplete perspective of love.   And because your external world is a mirror of your internal world, love in your external world will be absent until love is present in your internal world.   

What Is Love?   When one recognizes the oneness of everything, a profound sense of calm and peacefulness fills one's being with joy.    One feels the joy of being.    It's kind of like love, but a love that one doesn't experience in the physical world without also being in the formless world.   In the physical world of duality, there is the lover and the beloved.   There is a separateness between lover and the beloved.   In  the world of oneness, love is everything combined.   Lover and the beloved are one and the same "thing."   Only in the formless world there are no "things."  Everything is energy and consciousness.

Responsibility

Illusions:  One of the most damaging of our present-day illusions is that we can destroy our environment and not reap the consequences.    Another extremely  destructive illusion is that we can do anything we want to because, no matter what we do,  a fairytale god who lives above the clouds is going to save us from reaping the consequences of our actions.  

It doesn't take Einstein or Sherlock Holmes to figure out that what we are doing, the way we are living, and how we are treating the Earth is simply not sustainable.    As technology advanced, the rate of destruction accelerated.   Today, we are on the brink of global-level disaster.    The consequences of our actions are now showing up big time.   The planet is screaming at us, " WAKE UP! "  and how are we responding?  For the most part, it's:  

  Business as usual 

  More of the same.

  If it turns out to be a problem, the attitude is:

    We'll deal with it tomorrow, 

    The God who lives in the sky will fix it for us, 

    And/or we'll fix it with the tools we used to create the problem.    

The final call is being sounded.   And  still, we  are not listening.    If there is another generation of humans on this planet, please understand that you are us returning to face ourselves.   You are not the victims of the past.   You are co-creators of it.   Wallow  in the garbage dump, but condemn not other, for you and I are "One."   We (collectively) stand in a sewer of our own making.
