The
Leaders of World's Corporations Have
The Means,
The Motive,
The Talent,
The Opportunity,
The Resources,
and the Ability
to Reverse Global Warming.
Many corporate leaders
are highly intelligent people with deep
concerns for the environment and for the
future of humanity. They are
simply stuck in the role of "money-makers" at
the expense of everything else. (See
the section below - Doing the Impossible.) When
the opportunity comes along to include
the environment,
the employees, and the customers along with
money in their decisions, many of them
will jump at the opportunity to do
so.
What the
TLC-Life-Center is proposing is to change the
context² in which corporations do business so that all four factors (environment,
employees, customers, stockholders) receive
equal consideration.
When the environment takes its rightful place
along side of profits, many corporate
leaders will stop their company's arrogant
exploitation and needless destruction of the natural resources that belong to all of
us.
For the sake of higher
profits, many corporate leaders presently shun and disown their responsibility
to take care of the waste products they
produce. When they get off their
addiction to money (profits), they will no
longer have the incentives to pollute
the environment.
Many will also alter their product
production in way that will significantly
reduce the amount trash and pollutants they
now produce. (Here's
just one example.)'
